Came across this in my Google alerts this morning, so I thought you pico projector nuts might wanna see it:

The Essential G2, is a must have pocket projector for people wishing to just have a projector for use with a computer, laptop or netbook.

Weighing in at 75g, the G2 features a 640 x 480 LCoS chip, with an LED bulb which outputs at around 20 lumens, good enough to get an image of up to 73 inches from 3 metres!
You’ll never have to change the bulb again as it will last 30000 hours too.

It doesn’t have an in-built battery, instead it is powered via USB, and also outputs images from the computer via the same USB cable. You can use it either as a primary monitor, or in extended mirror mode!

What’s more it comes with a remote control, so you can slide through power point presentations, pictures, via the provided driver software. Once the drivers are installed you can plug and play with ease.

It also features 1GB of in-built memory, so using the supplied USB wall adapter, you can power it up, and view your items on the go.
It also doubles as a flash memory device, so never worry about bringing a memory stick to work again, just upload all your files to the G2 and your sorted.

This is a must have piece of kit, with BeamBox quality assured. Able to fit into the smallest of pockets, bags, jackets, laptops cases.
It also has a tripod port, so you can attach it to a tripod.

The Beambox G2 is open for pre-order and will be available in retail outlets July 29, according to the press release on their website. The beambox looks like it’s going to be a real winner in the pocket projector wars, so keep your eye out for their products.
