I came across a new pico projector from Optoma called the PK301 on Amazon today. The Optoma site doesn’t even mention it yet.
Price (at Amazon.com): $399.99. It is not currently for sale, but they are accepting pre-orders. It does not say when it is expected to actually ship.
Some quick features and specifications:
- MicroSD slot. Accepts cards up to 16GB
- Projection size up to 120″
- Texas Instruments DLP with LED that lasts over 20,000 hours
- Ports: “Universal I/O”, microUSB, miniHDMI, DC in, AV in (2.5mm?), Audio Out (3.5mm?)
- Up to 50 lumens
It says it accepts VGA, so I’m guessing the AV input comes with a custom cable for a regular VGA 15-pin D-sub connector.
Is this the first pico-projector to have an HDMI port (note that it is a mini HDMI)?
