Display Search, a market research firm focused on the display technology market, has released a detailed report on the state of the market and their predictions for the future. The report is expensive (not sure how much exactly), but they did share a few exciting tidbits.
- 130 “pocket” projectors products were released in 2009.
- Their report profiles 200(!) pocket projector-related companies.
- 500,000 units shipped for revenue of US$117 million in revenue in 2009 (making for a $234 average selling price)
It’s just too bad they insist on calling pico projectors “pocket projectors.”
