The Pico Projector Popularity Contest
I’m sure you are aware of how new Pico projector technology really is. What you may not be aware of is the popularity contest that faces any new technology as it comes out into the world.
Whether it’s pico projectors or cell phones, it really doesn’t matter. They are all in a race for one thing. And that is to be the next “big thing”. So much so that companies spend millions of dollars trying to get their product into the people’s hands. So that they can in turn fall in love with it. Read more
Samsung’s i7410 projector phone

The rumors had it pinned to be in the US in May, but the Samsung i740 still hasn’t made it to the shelves here in South Texas.
Here’s it’s feature list:
he Samsung I7410 comes equipped with a TI DLP Pico Chipset to throw the image. It uses a bright LED to create the light source which in turn gets thrown on to the wall. With the light source being a bright LED it’s not going to be the brightest of images and probably almost unusable in bright light. However, hide your self in a room or throw a smaller 15 – 20 inch screen on to a nearby wall then you should have an ample image to view.
Samsung I7410 Features* DLP Pico chipset technology
* 5 megapixel camera
* High-resolution color OLED touchscreen
* Intuitive flick navigation to view presentations and photo slideshows
* Ultra-contemporary sleek and lightweight design
* Built-in audio speakers
And here’s a little more information I found:
The Samsung MBP200 micro-projector is set to become available this May and is expected to cost 499 Euros or about $640 USD. Meanwhile, the Samsung i7410 projector phone doesn’t have an exact release date yet, but it’s slated for a summer release with a yet to be announced price. I’ll be reporting updates on both devices when even more info about them surfaces.
Everything I’ve read says that it should already be out. But even when I’ve visited the cellular phone stores here, none of them have any clue if or when the new Samsung i740 is coming.
Anyone with any info, shoot me an email.
Pico Projector Phone from Samsung
This is a pretty cool Youtube video about a phone put out in Korea from Samsung. This is TI DLP’s first working pico projector embedded in a working phone, according to the description on the video page.
The phone features a built in Pico Projector, with stereo sound speakers. You can download content via a USB connection and it can play pictures, movies, video clips, etc. You can beam out any attachment from your emails and any image. Making sharing your multimedia from your phone a snap.
I’m looking for more phones that have built in pico projectors, so if you have some model numbers and some videos or tutorials you would like to share about them, please send them into us.
Ciao till next time!
